Concordia is a Salvation Army centre situated in the isle of Ischia, in the town of Forio, Naples.
Concordia was an old noble home; the street in which it is found is actually named after the former owner of our property.

When it was bought, in 1963, with the plan of using it to host summer camps for children from disadvantaged families, the building was going to ruin. The purchase was made by Colonel Bordas, thanks to funds given by International Headquarters.

Thanks to the hard work of officers, helped by some labourers, the house was restored in about a year, and was able to host the first summer camp, organized by Naples Corps.

Later, further work was carried out on the areas which became the guest-house and the corps meeting hall.

Today, Concordia has 13 rooms, each with its own cooking facilities and bathroom.
A TV room is available. There is also a kitchen for group use and a dining room with 50 places.

The building is on a hilltop, dominating the town. From the terrace one can admire the extinct volcano Mt. Epomeo and the intense colours of the sea, even more spectacular at sunset.
